Cervical cancer risk: Do you know about it?

Do you have daughters, nieces, or granddaughters?
Are these girls aged between 12 and 17?
Would you like to protect these girls from cervical cancer, if it were prossible?

If you answerd all three questions with yes,
then you should know the following:

  1. Cervical cancer is the second most common cause of death from cancer (after breast cancer) among young women in Europe.
  2. The risc of contracting cervical cancer can be reduced by a vaccination.
  3. The ideal age to be vaccinated is before the first sexual contact.

Important: cervical cancer, precancer of the vulva and genital warts are caused by human papilloma viruses, which can now be effectively vaccinated against.
